Stephanie Italia Ricci was born October 29, 1986. She is an American-Canadian actress. She's famous for playing April Carver in the 2014-2015 ABC Family television show Chasing Life, and for being the White House Chief of Staff and Special Advisor Emily Rhodes in the television drama series Designated Survivor from 2016 to 2019.During 2009, Ricci began appearing in American productions, with small parts in How I Met Your Mother, House, and Greek. The same year, Ricci was a regular character as Sasha in the comedy series Secret Girlfriend on Comedy Central. She played Maggie Winnock in Unnatural History as a Cartoon Network live-action series. She was also featured in an Clean & Clear commercial as herself. She was in Valediction an animated short she directed in 2011. In 2013, Ricci appeared in a minor role in Joseph-Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut film Don Jon.
